This is the limited edition hand-bound version of the RLE Liturgical Psalter, created by artisanal bookbinder Colin Miller. It features a hard case covered with black Japanese mohair, with a gold-stamped cover and spine, gilded pages and a woodcut on the front cover. There are also two sewn ribbon bookmarks. The contents are identical to our red casebound Liturgical Psalter. Each gift edition is entirely handmade; these are heirloom-quality volumes that make wonderful, memorable gifts for birthdays, wedding anniversaries, ordinations and other major celebrations.
 
The model for this volume is the common Church Slavonic Psalter (the "Liturgical" or "Sequential" Psalter), which presents didactic material and the Psalms themselves as a book to be used in private and liturgical prayer. The numbering of the Psalms conforms to the Septuagint, with occasional diacritics and accents to enforce the intended poetic meter.
