This book contains newly redacted offices, orders, prayers and blessings in Revised Liturgical English® (RLE) that form a practical handbook for the administration of Orthodox Christian parish needs. -
Office at the adoption of a child
-
Blessing of the marriage of heterodox converts

The Liturgical Psalter

The inner cover of the RLE Liturgical Psalter.

By the hand of Niko Chocheli.

Beginning of the Order of 12 Psalms.

The inner cover of the RLE Liturgical Psalter.
The RLE® Liturgical Psalter is a superior, accurate, and poetic recension based on Hebrew, Latin, Slavonic, and traditional English translations. It is a true liturgical Psalter with sequential readings and prayers following each Kathisma. The model for this volume is the common Church Slavonic Psalter (the "Liturgical" or "Sequential" Psalter), which presents didactic material and the Psalms themselves as a book to be used in private and liturgical prayer. The numbering of the Psalms conforms to the Septuagint, with an easy-to-read poetic meter and quadratic verse structure, and occasional diacritics and accents to enforce the intended poetic meter. This volume features traditional English pronoun usage (Thee/Thou).

The Apostol

A sample of festal antiphons in the RLE Apostol.

The inner cover of the RLE Apostol.
Since its first publication in 1996, the RLE Apostol has proven the test of time and has become the preferred standard text in the liturgical life of the English-speaking Orthodox Church around the world, praised for its traditional language, poetic cadence, clarity and readability.
This book provides the texts of the Epistle readings, Prokeimena, Alleluia verses, Communion hymns, and Antiphons used in the divine services throughout the liturgical year. It also contains indexes based on the liturgical cycles prescribed by the Orthodox Church, and several sections outlining both daily and occasional services.
The editors recognize the reality of the broad patterns of diversity in the ethnic composition, as well as the historical and jurisdictional understandings of Orthodoxy in North America. Consequently, this volume includes as many locally-revered saints as possible, with special emphasis given to saints glorified and/or especially revered by the Orthodox Church in America. We sincerely hope and pray that through the intercessions of the enlighteners, martyrs, teachers, and defenders of Orthodoxy in America, and the entreaties of the Most Holy Theotokos, we may be granted true unity of faith in this new vineyard of our Lord Jesus Christ that is still, it is safe to say, in the process of being planted.
